Scott Norman
ok head set im not to shure about but bb theres a bb removile tall you need to buy one of them to gte it out..and i think the way to no damage the head set is to get a head set push so it pushes the head set out.scott x
0zzy
get it done at your local bike shop for headset you dont wana damaged it and bb you can get the tool for it and thats easy to get out, personally if i lived close to a bike shop id go down and ask if i can borrow the tools quickly (for bb) and with the headset ask him to do it. vinny.p
BB tool for bottom bracket, headset get a longish blunt bar of some kind (socket set exstension works a treat) put it in the head tube then hit it with a hammer in four opposite corners so not to damage it and it should come straight out. Ladd
Take the frame to your local halfords they will take the bb out for you .to take the headset out i use a old pair of forks or a steerer sized tube and put it rested on the cup inside the frame and just hit it hard and they wil come out no damage. Pashley26
I wasn't replying to you otherwise i would have quoted you.And i wasn't talking about flaring the headtube or breaking the headset. If you knock a headset in wrong and it's not square you'll ovalise the headtube and it'll ride shit for the life of the fram.e (although there are a few ways of doing this....and this is also taking it to extermes...)Jarrod
matt middler
You can use an extension bar from a socket set to remove a headset, make sure you keep the headset square to the head tube as you knock it out.Or if you want it done correctly take it to a bike shop.BB tools are really cheap to buy and are always handy to have in your tool box.
