Most probably it'll happen, but not for a while. And it's certainly a good thing.

Its not something that will happen next week, look in a few years time. At the moment it only seems to be an idea; nothing set in stone.I hope it does happen though, may well bring some insurance costs down :)

yeah same rumours here. Maybe they're trying to panic people into passing? Don't know what good that would do though... lol I think it'd be a good idea though, would create cheaper car insurance and cause a lot less deaths on the road

Some lad from North Wales passed his test, went out driving that night and crashed into a police car the same night. The police are not only get the insurers to pay out for the car but the officer involved is suing for whiplash...

These rumours have existed for aslong as I can remember. Nothing ever happens, an I doubt anything will ever change, think how much revenue the Government take by letting people drive at 17 instead of 18. A whole years worth of road Tax from a million or so new drivers.

I know somebody who wrote 4 cars off less than 2 hours after passing (Y)

(His car and 3 parked cars)
