spode@thinkbikes
Since I've slowed down my writing for magazines in favour of coding and thinkbikes.com, thought I'd convert my old technology reviews site into a blog.http://www.spodesabode.comClean, maybe bland, but exactly what I wanted. The forum software is very swish. Being able to block an entire forum category in the "view new posts" is a god send that I wish this forum had If you want to know more about the site, read the first blog post. JonMack
Didn't realise you had an eeepc. Is the 4G any good when you take into account your 32gb mod? I was gonna get one and install OS X on it, what do you think?
spode@thinkbikes
Well, aside from the fact installing OS X on it would be illegal, apparently it runs like a dog. The Linux install on it is very good. FireFox, ThunderBird, OpenOffice, Amarok Music Player, Mplayer. What more do you need for day to day use?The extra storage is useful if you want lots of music and videos on it. But you could always buy a 4GB SD Card, which is plenty of extra room. I love my EeePc - it's awesome. I've started taking it with me when Rob and I go pallet riding and use it to play music, the speakers are deceptively powerful. JonMack
Well yeah apart from that. That sucks, but yeah I guess there just seen as a bit of a hackers machine so I wanted to do that if I bought one. But Linux is cool.Awesome. I'm definitely considering one. They're pretty beast.
