Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 hi there everyone at the moment my snail cams don't seem to tension my chain i have been trying to sort it out for about 2 hours tonight and it has fell of 4 times before i snapped one of the teeth on my rear sprocket do i need to buy a branded monty one or cam i buy something a bit cheaper i thought instead of making two posts i would put it in one i really need help on this one cheers everyone Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ladd Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 if the snail cams dont hit the small bolt in the frame they wont tension...you might need to shorten your chain or put a washer behind the bolt so they hit the washer (the snail cams) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On the snail cam there is a little bit what you push round with your hand, wedge that up against the axel so it is touching. And then tighten up the axel bolt as much as possible and that should hold hold for a while.
