Heatsink Reds.

Hi all,

I have recently bought a pair of Red Heatsinks (The £6 one's) and I am going to put them on my bike on the weekend but I was just wondering if anyone else have bought these pads and what they are like.

1. Braking Power.

2. Life (Long or Short).

3. Value for money.

If theres anything else you can say about them then dont hesitate to do so. (Y)

Basically a review on these pads would be ideal :)

Cheers Guys

And Hopefully I'll get some decent posts :P

Thanks Hendy

Hello mate I had a set for Christmas for my grinded echo 07 rear rim. The powers is amazing and dose not of seem to of worn that much at all. I think that they are the best set of pads I have ever had. Thanks Jordan.

As far as I'm aware, they are a different compound (both the red and the green...)

I PM'd Steve @ Heatsink when they first came out, and this is the reply I received (I hope Steve doesn't mind me posting, if you do mate, let me know and I'll be happy to edit!)

The red are a similar compound to the blues and whites, moulded at the same establishment. Different to the Reds used in CNCed pads. The green ones are a tad harder, Reds like Plaz and Green like Bloxx for hardness. They are specials because they don't last as long as my other pads on harsh grinds. A great deal if they match your requirements!

Also, if Steve sells the red refils for £8, why would he sell them in backings for £2 less?! :P
