What Is Your Favourite Car?

Smo, can you get 600bhp out of those engines without a swap?

What engines are in them stock anyway?

Whats the figures on yours?

Sure, you could squeeze 600bhp out of it, but I'd think you'd have to be a bit nutty to try without a stroker kit or at least a bore. I also think the other dude is lying until I see some proof of his Brothers car.

Stock engines are 227bhp 2.0l 16v turbocharged SR20DET.

Mine is roughly 250bhp, standard aside from induction and straight-through system until next payday when £150 will see me a B-Spec II boost controller, 1.0BAR (maybe 1.2) and 300bhp+. Damn good power increase for the money!

Sweet...

Well this is why i ask.

Surely the amount of money going into the engine/gearbox/clutch/diff/drive shafts would be massive? Meaning it'd be way smarter to just buy a high hp car in the first place.

Unless hes running some crazy boost :S

Anyways, thats a pretty good increase for the dollar.

For that power you'd have to uprate a lot of things, lol. I wouldn't saay it was smarter to just run out and buy a 600bhp one - at least building it you know the spec and how safe the car is. Someone could build a car easily capable of 400bhp (which in a Pulsar is easy) but crank the boost to something way beyond capacity to sell it (which the car might be able to take, but not for very long).

50bhp+ for £150 is a bargain, gotta love it!
