I Can't Believe People Actually Believe This...

Bunch of tards with nothing else to believe in so they follow the sheep as usual.

Ermm...so what do you personally believe in? Surely believing in nothing is exactly the same as 'those' who do believe in something; Either way you're still following the crowd?

No it's not. Following a load of stories in a book is following the crowd. Not believing is something the others do, they don't follow each other, just choose to not to live by a stupid book that's as real as Roald Dahl's BFG.

I read somewhere in this topic something like 'Religion is the root to all evil.' Now don't get me wrong I'm not a strictly religious person at all but I disagree with that sentence. I think that religion is a good idea that gives alot of people faith and helps them through hard times in their life. The corruption occurs in mankind, usually greed and wanting something or hiding behind religion to enforce ideas on people.

My post is a bit confusing, I'm not very good at putting my ideas into words. Basically don't blame religion, blame mankind.

I understand that totally (Y) I suppose it's like the whole Sapir Wharf theory, whether Language determines thought, or thought determines language, (apparent with Political Correctness) Does religion determine what we think about about mankind? Or does mankind determine the way we think about religion. No matter what we say about it, we will always remain with the same views no matter what it gets called, or what people say about it.

i do think religion is wrong

this is my views. "if there is a god, he wouldnt concern himself with the fate and doings of mankind."

"life does not need the idea of a law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and punishment" seems true to me, and to me is the opposite of religion

2 quote are what einstein said, i just picked them as it summarised my thoughts

In my opinion religion is for people who cannot face the thought of being alone in the world, and/or they dont want to belive that once they die, they are dead and plain gone.

Meh your not gunna stop it just stir up more crap. End of the day its there its causing wars n stuff there is very little any of us can do.

thats true, religions can do a lot of good in this world and are no doubt a powerful structure in some peoples lives, theres no arguing against that... its more the does it really exist argument, which is significantly harder to argue once you actually have a basic understanding of science.
