MadManMike
I'm 6 ft 2 and I felt massive on a mod, they just feel tiny, not my cup of tea at all...The whole thing of thinking a mod will be easier throw about isn't true - or wasn't in my case... I can ride MUCH better on stock.
The Duck
How can you really say riding 20" was a waste of 2 years, maybe to you but not to other people Other people may find it much easier than riding a stock will ever be for them.Craig Lee Scott rides a mod sooo nice and Dave he rides it awesome and there are some really smooth riders on here with mods. You cant just say hes going to waste his time on a mod because your not him.Not starting anything like but its really up to him, if you find a 26" too big and hard to control maybe a long mod, its totally personal preference, maybe go to some rides if there are any near you and test out some bikes that people have there I'm sure some riders will be willing to let you have a quick go and see which you prefer.Brad.Q: How can you really say riding 20" was a waste of 2 years?A: Because i achieved nothing, i was mentally rubbish and compared to my improvement speed on a stock, i might as well have had no arms or legs riding a mod.A: Craig Lee Scott rides a mod sooo nice and DaveQ: No, CLS hardly rides anymore and who the hell is 'Dave'?A: You cant just say hes going to waste his time on a mod because your not him.Q: Did I say he was going to waste his time? No. I said I did.
weebryan
well i am 5"4 and i learned on a 26" no probs and rode for a few years and now i went 20" for a lighter bike cause i like to ride neat and tidy like uci style, but for big moves 26" is better and mods natural smaller/compact technical moves. To be honest better learning 26" at the start its easy to change from stock to mod but change mod to stock i finda little harder if not used 26"
