liam-pantera
hi guys well ive been using a deore v brake for about 3 weeks now and i truly hate it , some people have told me that the deore calipers were ment for no linier brakes thats why it is creating so mutch flex . Is this true or are the generaly shit brakes ? also if this is the case will using a avid series brake sort the problem , btw before anyone says its my cable or setting up its realy not .any help would be great
basher
You using 4 bolt adaptors if so you need a booster really. Also how old is your cable and what cable is it. And by usin the adjuster at the lever that creates sponge.
Brian Bleech
what set up do you have? The deore brakes should be fine. Flex could be coming from a number of places...Do the pads hit flat on the rim?Do you run a booster? could be the frameIs the wheel true and the spokes tight? could be the wheel flexing if the spokes are loose. What cable do you have? Hendrix
I use a Deore on my front. It feels AMAZING and never ever ever lets go.I also use a Deore on my back, and it holds well, not at all. ha ha. Pretty much non-existent on the back! Still, I love my front one. Never gonna change it, ever
