paul-m-
I finally got my bike back from bein built up today so was looking forward to goin out on it tonite but when riding it home i realised the chain was skippin. So when i got home i had a look at it and it looks tight enough so it cant be that and it cant be the front freewhell beacuse its brand new along with the rear sproket. The only thing i can put it down to is the chain size the chain ( one off those khe ones off tarty) looks a bit for the sprokets or the rear tensioner jocky wheel is a bit worn but looks gud for a bit yet. I was wondering weather its worth gettin a new tensioner and which style to go for, one with a jocky wheel or one with a roller. cheers
James-M
Could possibly be too big for the distance between the rear sprockets if there're more than one. Also it could be a possibilty to get a sprocket designed for larger chains, meaning it has deeper teeth so the chain can fit in snuggly. Revolver
its either alignment, or the link sizeif its alignment, you can either align the parts or use a long (rohloff, tension seeker) tensioner and it will ease it upif its the link size, curse fate for giving you such a stupid problem that no-one would ever think of, and either get a new chain or change the sprockets for deeper toothed ones.aligning parts can either be changing ur singlespeed kit positioning (if ur using one), or u might need a different bb Edited January 9, 2008 by Disasterboy
