Where Can You/can You Get 26" Frames...

OK I was gonna get a 24", but the entire bike is gonna cost me a fortune, frankly money I dont have or that I need to use to put towards camera kit for work. So ive had the idea of simply changing my Ashton frame for a different, streety frame. No matter how many websites I go on, there's not one frame I have seen that isn't long, without a seat, Deng-ified... you get what I mean. Id just love to see a frame on the market that is for 26" that isnt for sidehops, gaps, drop-gaps and taps, or of the UCI persuasion. Bit of a rant I know but I was speaking with Leon Neil today and he's got hold of a Pace RC250T and an Orange Zero to blitz on (2nd maybe 3rd hand of course) - so its a cry-out from us streety, tech (ish) riders to manufacturers to start making these legendary types of frames again, as, frankly, I can't stand any of these 'modern' trials frames. Something like an Inspired would be great, but for 26" wheels that doesn't cost a fortune like Leech's signiture frame or the Reset. </rant> :)

But once all the old frames are broken i reckon i'll end up giving Mr leeson an old orange catlogue and say "copy"

i seem to remember reading in mbuk that leeson designed the zero? of course it could be my bad mixed memory or typical mbuk rear end mouth disease

Which base did you have jonny? the older one was tripe, but the latest one is LUSH to ride :)

TA26, silver one. Was a couple of years back I think?

Wasn't there a topic, very similar to this, very recentley?

Someone suggested the TA26 as a strong option.

Edit: Too slooooooow :(

Link <- it's Canadian but they have lots of streety type things i think. Not sure how much it would cost to send though? Don't forget that the exchange rate is like 1.97 against the Canadian dollar.

Edit: They don't have that many in atm... They had loads like 2 weeks ago. Take a look round the whole website.

Thanks for the link dude, the frames look nice on there, theres a dark candy red one in there, dont think its meant for Trialsy stuff though haha as with the rest of their frames. Yeah that Zero really was the start of things to come... that went? I still reckon its time for a change in the frame market, even if its a small one... Streety frames, seatposts (with a hole for a seat), head angle of the Ashton (cos its pretty perfect as far as im concerned), with short wheel base... an Inspired in 26" lol that would be near enough perfect perhaps!?... Im really hoping im not alone on this :$

norco, the czar free trials, 04 pure?

Cheers for all the suggestions people! Ash, Norco as I mentioned costs a fortune - unfortunate really as I recon it would be an interesting frame. Czar and Echo are just two of the frustrating makes of frame, the basis for this thread pretty much

I had a norco, while the bike suited me 100%.........id cracked a seat stay and a brake boss in 6weeks, and gave it the most horriffic dent you've ever seen, it clunked everytime i pedalled :( Plus they're not worth anything near what they cost.

By streety I'm talkin 1040 wheelbase absolute max, i prefer 1020 - 1025 myself, anything more just aint the same

My 3 best bikes ever :)

Ah bikes from My Prime of trials.

Those where that days, bikes where short and hard to do anything on, but it was so much more fun doing it.

If it was my Desision, I would hunt for a Rocket FAB Pro Trials.

That was a frame. Loved all 4 of mine to death.

Ill keep an eye out for all the people round here Who still have these bikes in the shed doing nothing, Might be able to get hold of some real old skool treats.

PS dont forget the Club roost Stinger Trials......
