fyfey
I have had a Truvativ ISIS BB for almost a year. Recently I've noticed it had a stiff spot and it squeeked.Took it out and there is grit in the bearings and they're not feeling as smooth as they could. Is there anyway to clean them out? I can't work out if you can get the black metal spacers off the end of the axle.Cheers,Fyfey Edited January 13, 2008 by fyfey
N.Wood
Can't help you with acces to the bearings (though i'd imagine they're not replaceable?) but mine has been bang on for a couple of years now no problem.Might be worth just buying a new one for the £35 or so it'll cost
Ladd
Had mine about 7 months and its still pretty sweet. Great bb's
Luke Rainbird
Stiff as hell, feels solid, mine was awesome......for 2 months Thinking it was a dodgy one though, I'd happily run another, but only if it were given as a replacement/cheap etc
fyfey
Yeah, mine's been fine for all this time, just got some grit in it somehow. Might just buy another, as you say, worth the £35. Not too bothered about getting paying that out once a year.Might try an SKF, worth the extra £8 do you reckon?Cheers,Fyfey

Mike Winton.
SKF had two of them in two different bikes no problems
Shaun H
That's just classic Truvativ shit bearings I'm afraid. Luckily they seem to last much longer in trials, friends of mine who have used them for trail riding have had them last at most 6 months. Mine lasted far longer and then went onto anther owner. fyfey
Bugger, just noticed that the SKF wont work with my Tensile Anyone got any experience with the Try-All? I noticed it has replacable bearings... anywhere stock the bearings?Cheers,Fyfey
fyfey
I got another Truvativ in the end. Feels 100 times better now, solid as a beast! Feels strange not having the creak as the non-drive-side crank comes round Cheers for the help lads!Fyfey
