matt middler
Im buying a new bike. Not ridden for about 2 years now, used to ride a Koxx levelboss 1065, used a koxx tryall stem, 100mm with about 15º rise. Im now getting the Czar Ivan frame which has a higher BB height which will give it a feel of a 20" bike rather than my old bike. Does anyone have any suggestions to what stems work well with the higher BBs?

mairomaster
I think Echo 145/20 would be perfect. Try-all are very weak.
matt middler
im quite a short rider thats why i will be getting a shorter frame. im about 5,10". i can throw a bike around but will a long stem be difficult for me.
mairomaster
WOW you are really short mate. And Czar Ivan is probably the longest frame on the market, wb, bb to head tube, everyting is huge. You can't put it very short stem because it'll break the geometry and the bike will become uncomfortable to ride. You can buy a shorter frame like pure 07 for example or mod frame. Curly-Sam
well it really depends on bb rise i think.my mate has a marc vinco and he has a try-all 20" stem on it !! it rides ace .and it depends what kind of position you like riding in.but either get a try-all or the viz stems
Ben Davies
ive just bought an 07 echo pure long with a try all stem 130mm, looks the nuts but the front end won't come up very easy (manuals etc) ...its ace from a standstill though and back hops... echo_rob
I would go with just an echo team stem, as mairomonster pointed out, if you have a too short or low stem, it will break the geo of the bike. Great choice of frame btw, those frames ride smoooooothcheersrob
