Curly-Sam
hi there guysi brought up a topic a while ago about going front freewheel so i decided to go ahead with it on my new bike !!i recived my free wheel yesterday ( try-all 108.9 )and when to fit it.when i came to fit it i placed my KO bashring on and then screwed on my freewheel ...... with the tool provided ( thought i mite add that incase some people got exited )i set up my chain and testioer.i went to ride it to see it it was ok and the free wheel was digging into the bash ring.so i took of the bash ring to check why.once looking why it wouldnt do this.i knotest that the free wheel needed spacing away from the bashring.i have been looking every where since that had happend to see if i can fine a spacing.but i carnt find one any where.if any one has any clue where i can find oneor have any sergestions on how to rectifie thiscan you please let me know thanks Curly
steve@banbury-trials
im not totally sure about the size if the spacer but have you tried a old cassette spacer?might do the job till you find the correct spacer that was supplied.steve
kingkopity
i had the same problem with my try-all one. mine didn't come with a spacer. i cut a circle type shape from a coke can just smaller than the freewheel, flattened it out and cut a hole on the middle the size of the threads on the crank arm and put it between the freewheel and bash ring. perrrfect. hope that helps

N Roach
The spacer you are looking for is about 1mm thick. I have some crank spacers for use when using just a freewheel, butthey are like 3 mm thick. There is two things you could do...1.) Call Tartybikes or T-uk and see if they have this spacer.2.) Buy a bashring with a spacer built in, The bashring best for this would be the "Echo 6061 bashring."hope that helpedNathan Edited January 6, 2008 by Koxx_Nath.C

Krisboats
Or.... Go to your local bike shop and ask if they've got any spare bottom bracket spacers lying around. They will also do the job nicely for you. Get one just big enough so that the freewheel doesn't rub on the bashring.

steve@banbury-trials
i dount it'll make much difference in the width of the spacer, you could always file/sand it down to the right size
