Try to 'Throw' yourself into it more. Put more effort into it and use more of a whip techinique. Whiip the backwheel up and into it.

It was smooth nice gap but if your looking to go bigger then definatley throw your bike more mate.

What i meant by 'You don't put any effort in your gaps' is You don't pull the bike up you just let it fall and hope to land!!

So your putting pretty much nothing into your gaps that's why your shit at gap's!!

There is me doing a few gap's and if you watch them im pulling the bike up into me helping me to gap further!!

Firstly don't listen to 'Tom Jefferies' he's just too cocky.

The main problem is your not moving your body enough, if you watch the video you give the pedals a smack and then your body stays rigid through the air. However to improve your gapping technique you have to develop your gapping so your body is doing alot of the work not just relying on a kick of the pedals.

There are a number of ways of doing this:

- I would suggest gapping from a static position (standing still on the backwheel) as it gives you greater balance and more time to decide what you want to do.

- Then drop the front end abit more (not too far that you plummet into the ground)

- Next give the pedals a massive slog whilst leaning forwards towards the bar

- Tuck the bike up into your body by pulling up your legs

- Then stretch the bike out infront of you to meet the landing by extending your legs

Watch Neil Tunicliffe or Damon Watson, preety close to the perfect technique I would say.

Hope that is some help, your gap looked well smooth though I have to say.

some good advice there for you mate. to learn your preloading you want the take off and landing to be same height. and for learning to bring the bike up in the air try gapping up. for any big gap i go sideways on to it or i just cant get the distance OR hieght
