vinny.p
Mars is laughing at us and the ozone layer is leaving... sorry i had to do that We will live on other planets but not for like another 100 years i reckon.I dont think anyones ever even been to the moon yet so i dont think we,ll ever live on other planets. The reason i think this is because i watched a programme ages ago and it mentioned something called the vail of radiation, which is basically some form of radiation between us and the moon and you would need something like 3 feet of lead around you to survive going through it.Ill do a search for it then post a link . vinny.p
Ive just been doing a bit of research (very bored because i havent got a bike yet) and i have found that the universe is approximatley 93billion light years across. That absolutely blew my mind the thought that we could be alone in something so big has just been completley erased from my mind. Also i realised that at the rate we are consuming our planets natural resources we will never know whats at the edge of the universe, unless some fare superior beings find us and show us some pretty amazing new technology, heres hoping the little green men show up soon LOL!!!I personally would love the chance to go into space but it doesnt look like ill ever get the chance unless i struck oil in the back yard or something. Mark W
Even if you doubt Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon, people have been there since. The reason they don't go there more often is that it isn't easy, and it's ridiculously expensive. Space shuttle flights are easier, cheaper, and give more scope for doing stuff, so they use them more. And how did you work out the universe was 93 billion light years across? danny l
i did a load of research on theories about the moon for an english project and read some stuff about how the may be moon hollow.(this is only beleivable if you think people did go to the moon). when apolo XII landed on the moon they drilled down into the surface and set up seismometers to measure seismic activity on the moon. as the astronauts left the moon the ditched the ascent stage of the lunar module, which fell to the moons surface. when these landed the seismometers piked up reverberations through the moon. this would sujest that the moon was hollow. gilly
On the subject of the original question, the current most popular theory about why the sky appears black, despite the more or less infinite stars believed to be up there, is that they're so far away from us that the light hasnt had time to get here yet! monkeymoped
I hope youve got proof to back this up LOL otherwise some people may not actually beleive you.its just a theory i came up with after watching the original tv series of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy (far far funnier than the film)

I'm pretty sure that would mean our tides wouldn't happen, as they're largely down to the gravitational pull of the moon which would be approx. f**k all if it was hollow?
