Gavyn.
it does usually go up in my case it should go down from £1000 to £444 you should go and do your pass plus now you've passed that'll bring your insurance down a bit.
br3n
what are u trying to insure?my first year of insurance on a 1.4 group 5 car was nearly 2k... tis the price you pay for being a newbie driver, you'll soon learn that lesson mean nothing and you only start learning how to actually drive/read situations after a year or so

Mr Plod
I'm off to pick up my mini and the cheapest insurance I could find was with HIC. me and my dad fully comp = £1700That's surprisingly good considering it's a Cooper Sports and I was getting quotes elsewhere of £3k+. Infact I had one quote of....£10k!!! It's ridiculous. On my own it'd be £1500 but my dads paying the extra £200 to have him put on so in a sense I'm still only paying £1500

Simon
Is this not kind of obvious? As a learner you'll always have an experienced driver with you, now you've passed you are on your own, or with friends the same age and are very much a liability. Simpson
you'll soon learn that lesson mean nothing and you only start learning how to actually drive/read situations after a year or so i think its all about your 1st crash, course prices go up..... i cant name one of my friends that passed at 17/18 and HASNT had a big'ish crash.... its like 6 written off cars and 5 claims over 1k.... its f**king stupid.... you genrally learn not to do that kinda shit 2ce though
Token
I generally find that it can be abit of alucky dip, try once and you'll get £1000, try again and you'll get £1200. Try a third time an I get £900. All from the same insurer using the same details.

Get the right person at the end of the month, when they absolutely need to sell 20 more policies, and it could save you a few quid. It's just luck. Tomm
My Mum is still paying for my insurance, 6 months after I bought her car off her. She hasn't realised yet *On another note, I've been in 5 car crashes (all before I could drive (I was always a passenger)). Does this mean I'm going to crash...Or I'm all crashed out and I should be pretty safe now?? I'm pretty sure that means you're invincible
The Riddlers
Try adding your old dear if you live at home with them. Before I moved out (thousands of years ago) adding her and my old man bought it down by nearly £200!
