Ben John-Hynes
A lot of people, including myself, hate the feel of a rear disk, the have no modulation and they just don't feel as good as a maggie or a V.BenxEDIT:oh is that why most people use a magura or ehco ?Apparantly, the echo brakes leak like bi*chesno idea whyi've just been hearing itBenx Edited January 3, 2008 by Benjaminge
Ladd
And a rim brake is alot less hard to hit on the rear.

Ben H!
i prefer dual disc because they seem to be sharper (that's my opinion but other people probably think different) Edited January 3, 2008 by Czartrials
Mike Winton.
I have owned loads of maguras, a dengura and now i have a bb7, Out of the lot i prefer the bb7 on the rear because the braking power is a lot more than on most rim brakes and they are very bitey but also give alot of modulation and smooth braking.yes it will probably rape my frame, but i dont care, just keep buying frames with a disc mount or more toxsin 2s As for wheels i dont think it will effect them at all.Havnt hit my disc yet (203) and ive been sidehopping to the left and riding natural. gussie
Sorry if i sort of steal your thread. When people have said "It will probably rape your frame." What does that mean? What will it do?And What is modulation? that to many may seem like a silly question but to be honest i have no clue.gus
Skoze
Apparantly, the echo brakes leak like bi*chesI've had mine since a week after they were released and it's still working fine Rear discs tend to be used more by mod riders than stock riders, on stock's big discs are needed on the back to give a good enough hold, which in turn makes it impractical for much of the riding we do.Rim brakes *** for stock's! Skoze
They leak like a twat when bleed with water, as i found you bled a dengura with water? 9/10 for effort and brake death.

Having modulation in a brake allows you to feather the brake easier.
