haha my hubs loud anyway just thought id add more bang, plus according to a website if u do this and change the grease to a lightweight oil ur less likely to skip and stuf as it allows the pawls to jam harder and faster

But the internals will wear out faster, and your springs are much more likely to snap. :)

yeh might just give the thing a dam good service and just use real light oil

could do with a clean out

I wouldn't bother messing about with the springs, I've never had a pro 2 but when I had a bulb I cleaned it out and put a tiny bit of grease in. I wouldn't worrie about it wearing out faster its not like trials bikes do 100's of miles.

Mate.

You can't stretch leaf springs.

Taking out oil, aka having no lubrication, is a really such a great idea I do wonder why these trials companys bother using it at all? It could be something to do with metal on metal + movement = ALOT of wear.

Take out all the grease that'll be in it from when you bought it, then clean all of the internals.

Then just lighty grease the springs, and the tips of the pawls.

That should make it louder, and will still keep it working properly. (Y)

WTF whys everyone being alll offensive about it all, i asked a simple question, and whoever it was who decided theyd have a rant about taking the grease out and metal on metal is a twat! no one said anything about taking all the grease out so its metal on metal, we were talking about replacing it with lighter oil, so read before u talk shit!

thanks to people who have helped i have taken note, and to all those who have just had ago jsut dont even waste my time! i was wondering because iv read that it helps prevent skipping which in trials cant be a bad thing

although iv only skipped once since i got it bout 8months ago

Only two people were? And yes, the person who was 'ranting' about taking the grease out and how this will wear the internals was replying to someone who did say to remove the grease in the hub. So read before you talk shit!
