Crazy Night Out!

We at home get the brunt of it as she bitches about runners / no shows... Honestly, you'd not beleive how many people phone for a cab and then aren't there. Running doesn't happen so much but yeah it's annoying.

if the taxi drivers stupid late, i often walk off, ill give them a few minutes and more if its a busy night. but ive rang for a taxi which hsas just been "round the corner", and took over 30 minutes to come, ill just walk off.

I'd be honest, make a formal complaint to the office if the driver really was aggressive and that. If you ran because you didn't want to pay I'd lay low, if you ran because he was intimidating then complain. Drivers can lose their Hackney license for that kind of thing though so unless he was REALLY nasty don't get him in trouble.

Yes he was extremly agressive, He was shouting and screaming at me and he tried to corner me at an atm. I got the feeling he was going to try to force me to withdraw money or punch me so i paniced. And as i have said before he chased me down the road in his car swearving up onto the pavment!

Yeah I'm talking like getting there 3 minutes before, trying to call the person, no answer... They don't show and all that.

Another thing she bitches about a lot is when they ask for a cab for 3:00 and don't come out til ten past... It's only ten minutes but it is time she could be earning I guess :)

Do taxi drivers have rights to hold non-payers or whatever or do they latterly just have to let it drop From a cabbys point of view it must be f**king frustrating.

I don't think so, only like a citizens arrest type thing.

They normally take an address and phone number and chase it up later... I mean the longer they hold someone and row with Police and that they lose more money by not working, works out better to chase it up later and carry on earning on that shift.

I dunno I'm really undecided which side im on. Firstly id like to say your mates sound like total c**ts for running away and leaving you, I have money so runnings always too much effort but.... then again think of all the times cabbys take the piss and take change when your f**ked.... so i dunno.... i had a cabby chase me the other night, becuase i couldnt find my shoes and was running arround looking for my car, (was wearing trainers and didnt let into the club so i had all intention of getting the cab back, after getting my shoes from my car) He chased after me and starting shouting.... so i turned round and gave him a score to shut him up, but he still kept on ranting about how people always run away... so dont do it

and i love mike so wouldnt say anything to f**k him off :P

I wouldn't worry about the police if I were you up here if you dont pay the guy who owns the taxi firm comes to your house and either gets his money or takes something to the value of it.

if you phone up apologise and offer to pay for it then there's a good chance he'll let you off.

For the sake of £1.60 or whatever I doubt it mate, they can lose their license for that.

Are you joking? like ive said ive got money so im never fussy about the odd 1.60 or whatever, but interesting to wait to hear the old, "no change mate" or charging more thans on the clock... guess it serves me right for never ordering a cab an always jumping in the closest one
