Boswell
Tonight i went to a crazy party about 6 miles away from my house. As the night was coming to a close i called a cab and after an hour of waiting it turned up. Anyway as we got to our destination my mates decided to do a runner and i was left on my own to face the music. I told the bloke that i could not pay the full fair and that i didnt know my mates would do a runner. He then got very agressive shouting and swearing at me and he went to grab me. I then paniced and did a runner, he was chasing me for what seemed like ages by car and shouting at me though the window as he did. Eventually thank God I found an alley and got away. My question is will they trace my mobile that i phoned up to book the cab with? PS im on this late because I can't actually sleep because im buzzing! Fish-Finger-er
My question is will they trace my mobile that i phoned up to book the cab with? PS im on this late because I can't actually sleep because im buzzing!erm, very unlikely, they may not accept calls to the taxi firm from that number again, and may pass the number round to other taxi firms in the area. to be fair i probably wouldnt get taxis in your area from your mobile again, or at least not for a good while. if they do pass it round other cab firms, may find yourself getting into a cab where he locks the doors, or puts the childlock on and drives you to a nice field in the middle of nowhere and chucks you out, at least thats what tends to happen round our end. police are highly unlikely to get involved though Edited January 1, 2008 by trials_punk182
Simon
Report him, or at least ring up and grass your mates, f**king hate people that do runners from taxi, if my mates did it i'd do the exact same, should f**king walk if they can't afford a taxi and just want to waste someone's time, and their livelihood!I'm not actually at annoyed as it may sound from my posts. He then chased me down the road like a lunatic driving up onto the kirbs and everything! PS im only 16 and i don't look much older! Jonny Jones
Best thing to do is be honest, ring them, arrange payment, and also report the driver for unnecessary force.

yoyoyo
Nextt time ask him to drive you to the nearest atm and back, and then when you next see your friends ask for the full share of the cost. Anyone who doesn't pay it means you should think if they are actually a proper friend.
Greetings
if you think your night was crazy... imagine trying to explain this to friends and familyhttp://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-..._88074_1077.jpgUh, that's brought back some memories from last night... I'd call the company and pay them, have a word with your mates first and explain to them why doing this especially on new years eve is wrong. yoyoyo
How much was the fare? If it's pretty small i wouldn't have thought they'd do much about it.

Danny
Id reconsider your 'mates' if they did a runner and left you.
Boswell
Id reconsider your 'mates' if they did a runner and left you. We'll i think i was meant to run with them but I chicken out then they phoned me to see if i was alright and met up with me. MadManMike
What generally happens when people run away from your mums cab? We at home get the brunt of it as she bitches about runners / no shows... Honestly, you'd not beleive how many people phone for a cab and then aren't there. Running doesn't happen so much but yeah it's annoying. If you're worried about what'll happen to you I'd say nothing will, they don't follow it up in Hastings, just avoid that company for a while - don't use your mobile to call them either.I'd be honest, make a formal complaint to the office if the driver really was aggressive and that. If you ran because you didn't want to pay I'd lay low, if you ran because he was intimidating then complain. Drivers can lose their Hackney license for that kind of thing though so unless he was REALLY nasty don't get him in trouble.
