Pro2 Split

A 3% failure rate within a year for something people are trusting to not land them on their faces when things go wrong is a tad high especially when it's claimed to be designed for trials. For comparison has anyone burst an ENO freewheel or a king in that much time?

My guess is there are quality control problems with the materials Hope are using to make hubs in that they seem to either use softer metals than other hubs leading to deformation in the hub or the metals they use have flaws in them leading to early failures such as hub bodies bursting or flanges cracking off.

Anyone used industry 9 hubs for trials? George Ryan (Of the Cannondale team) was using them on his Cannondale Chase when I met him a couple of years ago. 120 engagement points on the hub and they claim it's bloody strong. You'd probably get a whole wheel for the cost of a Chris King too...

Just out of interest, Where would someone stand in the case of a shell on a Hope Pro 2 cracking whilst doing a big move involving height, and really seriously heart themselves. Would that person be able to sue hope for every penny. Don't Hope think what danger they are potentially putting riders to.

Just a thought
