fathopper
I have Photoshop, had it for a while and don't have a clue on how to use I'd like to know how you for example take a picture of a car and take out of its back ground and paste it onto a white back ground, id like to do this with four cars and then after that put in a ground colour and add the back ground if you get what I mean, what do i need to selector or highlight what ever the final product im hoping will look like this
Tomm
Well first off, it depends a lot on the original photo. If you have a nice clear background - either sky or a plain wall or something - it'll be a lot easier to cut around. Also try not to have too much stuff going on behind glass as that will be really hard to get rid of. It would probably save you time (if you do it) to drive to somewhere with a plain background and take good pictures. In photoshop, there are a few ways of doing it. You can use the freehand/polygonal/magnetic marquee tool (probably the simplest but can be frustrating as you can't stop half way through), or the pen tool (more complicated but allows more freedom). Then (select>) feather the selection a few pixels. The 'pro' way is apparently to learn to use the 'extract' filter but I've never been able to use that well at all. Google it and have a play though. Concussion
H`mm that entire process would be tough to explain, but it's a pretty easy thing to do, but you do have to be familiar with the tools and layers. Post the pics of the cars (a clean background would help a lot as Tomm mentioned)... and I could send you a PSD file with the four cars on separated on four layers and you can take it from there. Or I could help your further?

Tomm
Here's the logo cleaned up. Open it in PS, and use the magic wand (right click) to select all the pink, and then remove that. Then you will hopefully have the logo on a transparent background. Ctrl-a to select all and you can then copy that into your montage, perhaps adding a drop shadow or some layer effect to make it stand out.
