Fish-Finger-er
if theyve got grease ports(like little holes) buy a grease gun and pump them through. if not youve got 2 options, either take the end cap off, undo the nut and take th bearings/spacers out, cover in grease, fill the inside of the pedal with grease and reassemble(messy and complicated) or get a small screwdriver/a drill and stab or drill a hole in the end cap. insert grease gun, and pump through.jobs a good un. TrialZonn
The pedals are Onza platform...I don't know if that helps...I don't know why but they make a creaking noise and I think that they need greasing...They are new though so I don't think that they are cracked inside or something like this... Si-man
You sure its not the cranks creaking?
TrialZonn
yes I'm sure...The whole bike is new...only the pedals are creaking...and I don't know why...I think they need greasing that's why I asked
edmondraptor
If you got the bike from a bike shop who built it for you the left hand crank should be really tight on the bottom bracket. If it came in a box it definitely needs tightened. Check it either way, as that's the first thing I would think it to be. If it still creaks after that, unscrew the pedals from the crank arms using a pedal spanner or a thin 15 mm spanner if it fits (Left pedal has a left hand thread remember. Both pedals unscrew towards the back of the bike.), grease the threads, and screw them back in. I think that should sort it!
Si-man
Take the pedals apart, make sure that the axle is tight and theres not tonnes of play in the pedal body.Crank could be loose on the taper, can still happen if the bike is brand new. Copper grease on threads and tapers, decent quality grease on bearings.
