abtrials
use a hammer and hit the top of the fork stear tube this will loosen the washer then you should just be able to pull it off
psycholist
Try tapping the top of the fork steerer with a mallet (Not a metal headed hammer). Once the fork starts moving everything should come apart quite easily. Remove the stem and all the spacers on the steerer before doing this. Didn't read the rest of the topic but you're using a screwdriver and hammer yer? If so just keep beating into it. yep, screwdriver and hammer. heat the frame with what. Fishy
Blowtorch or heatgun. Expands the frame making it easier to wack out.

Fishy
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, You mean the thing that holds your forks in?Just get a screwdriver and ease it out. I thought you meant the cups.Edit: Look around it because there should be like a slot you can put a screwdriver in, then like try and lever it out. Fishy
Tapped your frame? Tap it all around and you like moving the screwdriver around so you aren't just hitting the same bit?

Danny
Get an old seatpost and cut 2/4 slots in it so the bottom few inches are cut into 4/8 equal sections. Bend em out a bit until you have a crude version of this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=627Please ignore Mr Fish and don't heat it up.
