liam-pantera
hi guys , well soon im getting some new parts and forks are on the top of my list but my choices are echo lites or echo urban 20" . Now my dilehma is that the echo lites are normal forks but the urbans have 40mm offset , so how will this affect the feel of the bike ? will it be longer ? any help would be mutch apretiated
JonMack
The lites have rake anyway as they're curved blade, the urbans have to have a 40mm offset because they're straight blade.
liam-pantera
thanks for clearing that up jon , one final thing thow i was asking about the length of the blades yo see the urbans have a extra 40mm blade length rather than the lights which dont will this affect the ride ? JonMack
Nah as far as I know they're no longer than Lites, so the ride shouldnt be too much different between the two. What you got at the mo?
Ladd
Yeh im going to order my urbans for my echo soon , they seem nice forks but the 08's are weaker than the 07's so im going to try and get some 07's.
Ali C
the 08 forks are the same as the 07 ones, bar the mod urbans and choice of black or sliver lites. So is my understanding anyway.

JonMack
It's only about 100g you're losing from the front end, isn't really that much, you should probably think about a new front wheel if the front of your bike is too heavy. liam-pantera
my front wheel is allready pritty light , but the main reason for urbans is that there light and also i can have a direct v mount instead of using my adaptors freeing up even more weight .
