J_Marley
Hi, I'm interested in trials.I would like to build my own bike and would like some opinions on some descent parts.I'm not really interested in the smaller trials bikes.Value for money is also high on priorities.Thanks. Luke Rainbird
For your budget, you'll be better off looking at something second hand.Check out the FS/WTD section of this forum. You won't be able to post there, but there's nothing to say that you can't get in touch with someone with what you're after through MSN or similar to sot things out.Eyes peeled, and check things out before you commit to anyhing. Don't be afraid to make someone an offer, the worst they can do is say no!
Ste Wilson
Are you wanting a 20" if so get a onza t-pro with magura HS33s brakes...If you are wanting a 26" get a t-rex again with magura HS33s...look on ebay in a couple of weeks there should be some up then....hope that helped ste
Ladd
Get a hole second hand bike off ebay and just change the bits you dont like to match your personal preference (sell the old bits aswell)
Skoze
since you want a 26", instead of a 20"(or little bike as you called them) check ebay or the for sale/ wanted section on here, an onza t-rex would be a good bike to start with, make sure it has at least a set of HS33's, or a front disc would be good! make sure you look it over in detail, and check the sellers feedback etc. good luck! PaRtZ
In all honesty you could just learn the basics on any bike, save up a bit more and then get a better bike? Besides its pretty frustrating buying a damn good bike and then not being able to even trackstand on it... youre choice though when you start learning how to get on the back wheel, then you should buy a proper trials bike so you can start training your muscles to be twitchy (sheer strength doesn't do much )
J_Marley
Thanks for all the replies, I think I'm just going to buy one part for the bike each week or two, instead of just saving x amount of money and buying it. This way I'll have more time to put the bike together. The first part I'm going to buy is most likely to be a frame. Is the Onza Woodstock 26" stock any good?
