Fvil
broke my rear tire whiles riding...and had to ride home, so I took my Rear 33s off, and just taped the tires down, so I could roll it home. anywaysAfter I got Home I went to take the rear tire off, (prepare for the new one) because I took the 33s off, I obviously had to put them back on,and since I took the tires off, I had just the rim (set up the way they would be normally)(chain tensioned).and never before have I lined up the brakes so perfectly before all because I was able to see the gap between the rim and the pads perfectly clear I m sure you guys know this alreadybut I thought I should just mention it to those who doesnt

Luke Rainbird
Pennies works well, so does removing the tyre.Removing the tyre is generally more hassle, but if for some reason you must do it, may as well set the brake up nicely while you're at itOtherwise, stick to coins

PaRtZ
See i used to jam a bit of metal in but it always set the pads up either toed in or toed out because it wasn't in contact with the whole pad. What happened to winding the TPA all the way in, push the pads against the rim, then wind the TPA out? Token
When I was spasticated and used HS33 I used to undo the clamps, pull the lever a small amount so the pads touched the rim an pushed the cylinders out abit, then do the clamps back up and take your finger off the lever. That way, you can set it so your lever is pulled in just right for you (pull the lever in more to push the cylinders further out). But HS33s are shit, so they never worked perfectly.
