Concussion
Let ALL the air out and pinch the tyre into the middle of the rim, that should give the tyre a bit more room and give you the best chance of getting it off.
ZeroMatt
Try to get hold of some intense levers they are really good. Stronger + longer (more leverage) = major winAlso have heard something about pushing the tyre bead into the middle of the rim making it easier to get it off, don't really know any more about it though.Edit : Ah lol well there you are. JonMack
I use motorbike tyre levers to get my mod tyre on and off, try some of them, theyre about 9" long and metal.

lewis.jackson
I got it done with a good old metal spoon and some fairy liquid. lol Went through 3 tyre levers and snapped all 3.
psycholist
The reason for moving the bead of the tyre into the centre of the rim is that most rims have a smaller circumference at their centre so moving the tyre bead there will create some slack in it compared to when the bead is at the side of the rim. Best thing to do is hold the tyre at the valve (The only place the bead con't go to the centre of the rim), pulling the tyre away from the rim at this point while working around the rim pushing the tyre to the centre of the rim elsewhere will get just about all MTB tyres and most 20", hybrid and even some road tyres off without levers... Rebelistic
I'll have to try the tyre in the centre thing next time I need to replace my tube.I usually use a pair of old kitchen knives - works pretty well aslong as you angle the blunt part of the knife towards the innertube. angrybeesound
You want to use your hands you do.No more breaking/using tire levers, be smart and cunning; and you will be fast as well. If it is hard you are doing it wrong. or its a tioga
