New Here - 30 Years Of Motorcycle Riding

Recommended Posts

Hello.

New here.

I Found the forum with Google.

Live in British Columbia, Canada.

Riding for 30 years.

Have had 17 motorcycles so far.

A wide and varied selection, each one quite different than the last.

Had a 1986 200 Reflex Honda for about a year. The closest I had to a 'trials' motorcycle.

About a 50/50 mix of dual purpose bikes to street including a VTR 1000, V-Max, 3 BMW's, etc.....

I find the dual bikes more fun usually.

I'm curious about Scorpa motorcycles and thought I could get answers here beyond the story a dealer

will tell you.

The new T-Ride 250 is interesting but I wonder will it crawl at a walking speed along goat trail kind of tracks.?

Or is it more of an enduro motorcycle.

My present ride is a Honda XR650L dual purpose.

I moved to British Columbia from Ontario, Canada 2 years ago.

The mountains here provide a totally different riding experience.

Many remote places with narrow tight, hard climbing uphill trecks that go up to 4000 to 6500 feet levels.

My city is around 33 feet above sea level.

There are about 30,000 kilometers of forest roads in this province so I'll never see 5% of them.

My 650 is way too heavy for many of the trails here and even with 1 more tooth in the rear sprocket it is not geared low enough.

It is hard to ride it many places and impossible in others.

I think the Scorpa might be the 'ticket'

I'm not interested in speed on these trails.

Any way........bla bla bla for my first message :)

Best wishes for the holiday season to everyone here.

Brian
