MadManMike
Watched it this evening at the cinema. I enjoyed it, was a strange ending but it made sense looking back. The product placement was as subtle as a bat to the face but didn't really cause too much discomfort, Although it seemed strange for a military scientist to be "hunting" in a big red noisy muscle car but I guess even the most intelligent people have off days.I liked the obvious mental deterioration visible with his interaction with the mannequins and his denial of the reason the dark seeker stuck his face out in the sunlight. He paused and seemed to realise it wasn't totally down to need for food but ignored the train of thought. The section when Sam died was well acted and I really felt for him, loosing his only companion just after his latest serum seemed to fail! Some great bits and something I'd watch again. To be fair, if I was the last alive I'd blatently steal all the best stuff - cars and that I'd probably shoot myself in the head rather than try and survive though Hard to say unless you're actually there... I hope they don't find a cancer cure in 2009

RR_Trials
Right, for anyone to say it was bad i just dont understand it.He basically acted most part of that film alone. That is an achievement acting alone would be so difficult. And the most powerful acting i had seen for actually drawing me in and making me nearly cry, when will begged the mannequin to say hi. Wow.P.S I am literally shook up about the whole sam dying wow what a film.
Concussion
Yeah I was upset when he had to kill Sam, nearly looked away! Film was slightly odd, but I really enjoyed it. Wish we could have seen the guy having some fun ie: stealing shit I guess, but it would hardly have fitted in with the bleak atmosphere of the film. Gave it a more realistic feel, as you could see how alone he was, and how serious his situation was.The film would've really sucked if he just f**ked about and was immature about it. Token
One thing I haven't been able to work out is, Electricity to his house. He's apparently been at 'ground zero' for like 2 years. I didn't think Power Stations could run on their own for 2 years?

Concussion
He had a few generators didn't he... wouldn't have been able to power everything though?...why was he hunting game/meat/deer? I'd of lived off canned goods for ages... be a bloody big pile of cans outside on the street after two years though !
Fish-Finger-er
...why was he hunting game/meat/deer?1) its a film, it doesnt have to make sense2) i think youd get bored of chicken soup after a bit3) sport?my questions, why would you have such a clean mustang if there was no one to see it?the whole place was trashed, where did he keep his cars. i saw no garage on that house?theres no way he cut his hair himself, and i doubt sam would have the dexterity to keep that barnet in trim?runnin round in a mustang+ suv's for a couple of years, wheres all the fuel coming from, theres no power to the rest of the city, so the fuel pumps wouldnt be on, also any fuel will have gone stale after that time. MadManMike
Come on, it'd be boring if we saw him ride a bike around all the time and ate canned food. There's loads of things you could question in any film... If it was completely realistic it'd be shit.

Course he could cut that himself. Edited January 5, 2008 by Krisboats
MadManMike
I shave mine, it's easy. Shave the whole lot number 2, get a mirror and do the neck and chin and that without the blade guide things on...
Hendrix
After seeing it in the Cinema tonight, I've realised how much I really do like the movie, and how much I really want there to be a sequel. The petrol thing - how do you know they didn't put some king of super fuel that never goes off in there ?The power thing - He had super duper generators which cost lots of money, take barely any fuel to run, and produce LOADS of power.Car thing. He probably leaves them about. Did you see all the keys ? Maybe he has a lock-up, or garage that you didn't see Also - I swear that the Manikin did move. Like the head moved. I really thing it did! Sorry - bit of a rant. But use a bit of imagination

bhups
Awesome film, sam dieing was a tear jerker. But in the event of the dark seekers following him home instead of blowing them up (the part of the film outside of his house when the bombs go off) all he had to do was fit his house with UV lights and he would of been safe. hugh_b
saw the film when it was on youtube but saw it in the cinema with the Mrs. Thought it was ace! Great acting throughout, other films have to use music to make the acting/atmosphere tense but there isn't any through out the whole film i don't think. A+++++++
JaMmY
I thought it was a good watch.Ending was bizarre as he could of got in that little cupboard with them and chucked the grenade out.But i suppose that it made it more of a powerful ending.but i didnt like her taking all the credit for his work that he did lol.shame about his dog got abit emotional when i saw that.Noooooooo not the dog!!!!!!! lolgood watch.well worth the money.even know i have it on pirate lol. Thanks
RR_Trials
Something to stop the night walkers sniffing him out. I think, and that might answer how they found his house eventually because she obviously didn't do it.
