So yea, there it is! Im over the moon with it and cant wait for the brakes to fully bed in. Its worlds apart from my original trials bike but its stunning to ride.

I want to say a huuuuuge thanks to Max for selling me his beloved frame and wheels to me, and putting up with my phonecalls and texts asking for product info! Steve @ Heatsink deserves a massive thanks for having faith in Royal Mail and getting what I needed to me on next day delivery!

Ive spent many hours researching stuff on this very forum that I should buy, the search tool is a gem! Hopefully this will be the start of me riding (and hurting myself) again.

Ta,

Alex

Loooking goood mate, not running a tensioner? :P What the chain tension like?

Seems fine to be honest, I was all ready to have some gears and a rear derailleur but I was told single speed is the way forward. Fine with me! I bought a tensioner but when the chain was put on it didnt need it. Chain tension seems ok, not to tight, not to loose.

Its just right so Im told!

Hope it doesnt decide to come off....

Hi Alex!

The bike is looking great (Y) A relief to hear that everything turned up on time, giving the green light for plenty of riding over the Xmas holidays!

All you need now is to replace the huge 22t bashguard you have with a more compact and pimpier 18t Cloud9 Middleburn bash. But then I would say that!

Have a good one!

Nice! What are the Avid '08's like?

They arnt anywhere near bedded in yet but in the 20 or mins I was riding around in the car park last night they were getting rapidly better :)

As for the bash gaurd Im undecided to be honest, I quite like it the way it is at the moment. Two factors control me on this one....1) I like to have my oldschool heritage somewhere on this modern steed....2)Ive spent waaaaaaaay to much already so that Middleburn one will be fine for now.

(Thanks for moving the topic for me to Bike pics for me.)
