JonMack
Basically now I got pallets in my room (see happy thread) but my floor is real slippy so I cant ride it. I had a rug but my housemates took it out so I don't have it anymore I need to know what I can put on the floor to make it sticky/unslippy, but not something like... spill coke on it, cos that will just go sticky and smelly.Nightmare.EDIT: and don't say wank on it dirty bastards. Mike Deere
Degreaser? Or just go get a can of spray mount.
AdamR28
How about thinking the other way round... Put some rubber feet on one of the pallets and strap the lot together? (eBay -> Ratchet strap -> a few quid = Job done )
JonMack
Haha yeah de-greaser might work! JonMack
How about if i diluted some water with coke, and then mopped that on, you reckon that will help? Will get the rubber mat and ratchet straps too!
Lawnmowerman
Get a rug?
JonMack
Yeah I wanna nick the rug back from my housemates, its in the living room, they swapped it out for a table while i was away!!
Tomm
If it's a totally sealed floor (I.e. no cracks/gaps in the floorboards) then spilling coke won't be that much of a problem. You can just throw some water down and it will mop up really easily. On the other hand I'm not sure it will help the grip though.
JonMack
I figured it would go all sticky and be super awesome. Monty brake spray anyone?
Luke Rainbird
You may well have found the one alowable use for tar in trials......alternatively, that could be silly messy and totally screw the floor

Greetings
I'd wrap the bottom pallet with inner tubes. Just wash the tubes first so they're grippy.
