The Duck
Okay, been riding quite a while now, more recently on rocks and less streety sort of things.Would really like to have a go at some comps. I live near Oxford, so I get the impression that this is the furthest away point from any comps? Don't actually know specifically where any are held apart from tyke trial in scotland which is sliiiightly out of my way (about 6 hours). So if anyone knows of any near me? And how to get into it? I'll be able to drag a mate along so I don't look like a strange furry-faced teenager lurking in the woods...Edit: Just read through and it looks like a bit of a self centered topic, but i suppose it could help other people in the same situation as me... N.Wood
I guess the EBTC (essex) rounds are closest. As for getting into it, i believe ebtc require an ACU license of some sort (details on their website) but other than that, have a chat with your riding mats who have entered comps before to see which kinda route you want to enter and go and have funI've done 1 comp in my life and it was a good laugh, bring some mates and a picnic and you'll be sorted. N.Wood
Also, don't take it too seriously, you'll enjoy it more. Do your best in the lines, but don't get so upset that you throw your bike and get depressed when you 5 a section.
Scotty Evil1
Its good to see more people looking into doing comps, there great fun. First of all have a look on www.ukbiketrial.co.uk to see what clubs are near you, and when/where they are.You will need to get an acu license to ride in them, and be a member of a club.If you want to ride national/internation comps, you will need a B.I.U licence.Just enter, turn up, and have a laugh Scott

Matthew_Gibson
I live in Cumbria and NOWHERE near any comps. I have to drive at least 3-4 hours just to get there. Kinda of a bummer as I don't have a car

The Duck
Hampshire comps seem to be the nearest. Still about an hour away though.
