Look for something that's 3CCD. It means it has a seperate chip for each colour, meaning the quality will be a lot better. I'd also avoid the DVD and Hard Drive cameras like the plague, I think tapes are still far superior when it comes to filming, if you fill up the internal hard drive with footage while out filming, you cant just pull it out and put in a new one, but you can with tapes. Also the DVD cameras are just a bit shit really, stick to Mini DV.
