The Duck
Whats the difference really? Performance wise I mean.Would a folding one be better or lighter (front wheel purposes)
Si-man
Folding will be lighter, as its usually kevlar in them. They don't have a steel bead in them. The panaracer fire XC 2.1 tyres used to be very popular front tyres a couple of years ago.Never managed to pop a tube with one either. if you do get a flat though, the tyre will just fall off the rim Edited December 16, 2007 by Si-man
The Duck
haha cool.Just ordered myself a High Roller XC 2.1 folding tyre for the front.Saved myself a load just on the front tyre....New bike should weigh in at about 10kg
Ali C
hmmm, but there's light and there's practical.Saving a couple of hunded grams on a tyre will make the bike nice and light and flicky, but if it doesnt grip then you cant take advantage of that.
