TheMunn
Righto, basically i'm a little bored of doing the usual same old same old here...Idealy I want to get a one way plane ticket to somewhere in the world with a bag on my back and a bike at my side. But certain things like where to go and what to do when I get there is where this little fantacy kinda stops. I'm pretty nieve about travelling, i've not strayed out of this country because i've never felt the need to go on holiday or anything. I think america would be a pretty good place to start, but the advice i'm looking for is where to go really and what is there to help me. I'd need to stay in some kind of hostel or something to start while I looked for work and somewhere to actually live...Anyone who thinks i'm being stupid could you kindly leave your comments to yourself, thanks. haydon_peter
Not stupid what so ever.Travel is the best thing I have ever done! I'm currently saving for my next trip!I read an article in Singletrack Magazine about a bloke who quit his well paid job, bought a camper van and went around Europe with his bike. He ended up working as a MTB guide in the Alps somewhere and it completely changed his life.Anyway, if you are certain about taking your bike I would say look at somewhere in The Alps, Canada, USA or New Zealand I wouldn't worry about travelling, you will meet loads of awesome people and have a great time! Just leave with a basic plan of where you want to visit and go with the flow! For hostels use Hostel World EDIT - I'm assuming you want to do trails/DH/freeride/dirt jumping and not hoppy trials
James
You should take someone with you, film the whole thing then make millions from dvd sales of your trans - global trials documentary. I want 15% for the idea.
Luke Rainbird
If you're considering the US of A, and thinking of a trials bike or similar, get onto OTN and post up.I'm sure you can find people/places on the internet who are happy to put you up
