BONGO
The child locks on Tv's and video's etc are normally the other way around. So that the remote always works, and it's the buttons on the TV that are locked, to avoid a toddler being able to press the buttons while it crawls about on the floor. If you buy a decent universal remote, once it's tuned to the TV, i'd be surprised if you couldn't turn the lock off with a button on the remote.Even if the lock stayed on, with a tuned in remote, you could control the TV fine without actually touching the TV's buttonsBongo
ZeroMatt
Aye also on sites selling that TV they say that the remote is actually a universal remote that can be used on anything.
Caleb
nice one you two, so you reckon i try a universal remote with it then, got it bloody cheap £175 for a 32" lcd, seems alright to me, was after something bigger but ive had my old sony 21 incher long enough Just seen this:"this TV can not be used without the remote control as the child lock is on and this can only be removed with the remote control hence the low price apart from that the TV is in perfect working order" Edited December 7, 2007 by Caleb
MadManMike
If a Universal remote doesn't work, hit Hyundai, they may have a spares department that sell to public. If not, go to a local TV shop and see if Hyundai will supply them...It'll cost you twice the price of a Universal one probably... Bargain TV though
