Muel
Im so not, been on many double disk bikes never liked one of them, apart from a monty with a bb7 but even that wasnt anything really good. Rim brake especially vee holds a awfull lot better and you dont get that horrible feeling. You dont get the same control with a disk like being able to let the brake off slightly and most of all the feel of when it locks a disk is horrible you get the wheel flex and you just cant feel it lock the same so i find it very juddery and on off and it all just makes a horrible feel ill never use rear disk always vee and maggie. Dont see why people are going to rear disk i think its almost just to say they have one because so many others have one. Also disks can be pritty tempromental getting hot and not working sometimes.OK you make some very valid points, but for me the plus points of discs are more important that rim brakes. The Duck
I like the drop outs!Wouldn't go double disk (or mod for that matter) because evvvery time i messed up a side hop I'd land on the rotor. Plus the stupid hoot from a rim brake is rather reassuring. Anyway thats all been discussed before.

The hold on it is amazing. If you go on ali c's bike who has a top class set up with ultimate arms although think hes changed them to xtrs now im not sure. You will be in love it so nice, the feel of it even though its a cable brake beats any other brake. And also vee brakes have a light feel s arnt hard to pull in and help with arm pump. Just to put it into prospective that they hold so well, ali cares about hold before bite or anything else (ie why he uses one) and he rides at world level and is a arse about his bike and the parts he runs. At least disk still holds as good in the rain and dont make anynoise and in my opinion disk holds better Edited December 6, 2007 by trasher
Has anyone seen my shoe?
Muel, I accept it in this thread since it is kind of relevant but stop going on about your dual disk echo.Anyway, looks really nice although the dropouts look huuuuge. basher
Has anyone actually used there brains and thought why the dropouts are why they are. With it being such a big one piece dropout and the disk tabs being parts of the dropout as there cnced from the same block of metal its ment that the disk tab is going to be a hell of alot stronger than if it was welded on and also it means its going to be stiffer giving a better brake feel and preformance. I dont really see how the holes are that bad but what do you want instead squares? which will cause cracks or non at all and then cry about weight. I think people saying they dont want one because of the dropouts alone is stupid. Seeing as it seems i think most frames will slowly go this way with big one peice dropouts look at the 231 ti the new one it has pritty long ones. Captain Scarlet
"Make me that, but with a higher Deng CNC factor".I think it looks nice, rear discs always makes bikes look better in my opinion, they just look neater. But is it me, or is that frame not as low as the current 4 bolt model? Also, how did he get that frame so early? His front tyre is also on wrong by the looks of things?
