Sitting on the back wheel, the bike felt great, it didn't hurt my back riding anywhere as you are more upright. Overall i was quite happy with it. Then it broke.... I used my Echo Hi Fi stem - really low like the Zoo ones, anyway, my sidehops increased in height by around half an inch immediately, you don't have to pre load as much, switches (pigeons..???) are much easier as you don't hit you balls on the stem. Gaps to front, however didn't really improve much, gaps felt as if i could put in more effort, but didn't actually improve. The main point i will highlight is that a low stem makes the bike feel a hell of a lot shorter!I'd say try a low one, i don't think i'd go back now.Neil

Will Arnold
i prefer a slightly higher stem than usual on a mod, simply because it makes bunnyhopping so fun!
El Cristoff
I run a T-master, and i love it. I had a Try-All, but it felt like wank.
JoNnY__Mc
Really depends what frame your using, I haven't had at all much experience with mod, but when I had my ko mod it was set up with a viz high rise and it rode perfect. But it if the stem affects mod the in the same way asit does stock... higher stems tap better, lower stems gap better
Muel
I have a quite high front, Try-All stem, but, I have high rise Monty 221PR bars, rides spot on.
Ryan.
i had a viz high rize with 25mm of stackers.....the higher the better
El Cristoff
I have a quite high front, Try-All stem, but, I have high rise Monty 221PR bars, rides spot on.Try-all stems ain't that high rise. Longer stem gaps better, shorter stem sides/ bunnyhops/ hooks better.
Matthew_Gibson
When I had my Monty I ran a Onza stem, It was muhc nicer than the Echo one I had on my ZooThey monty has different geo too. Wish I never swapped! =[ BRING BACK MY MONTY!!!!!
Gavyn.
why not buy a monty 15 quid stem and find out for yourself?
NileBrownâ„¢
Surely, the amount of spacers you run on your steerer fork can play a part in the geometry, as I ran an uncut steerer with a few spacers than the usual and gave me a hight front end. Danny Kearns
By the sounds of things. My Zoo! stem is whats stopping me from improving. Echo Team stem gonna be ordered soon.Danny.
Token
What about length of the stem, I notice some stems are 25 degree like the echo team, but some are 30 degree like the try-all. Although the echo is longer than the try-all. So I guess the echo will make the bike feel longer with a similar rise to the try-all.
Mark W
By the sounds of things. My Zoo! stem is whats stopping me from improving. Echo Team stem gonna be ordered soon.Danny.Sound plan, seriously. The Team is a really nice blend between super high and retardedly low. Just makes a bike feel so much more responsive, nimble and basically fun to ride.
Rusevelt
Low rise stem gives you more pulling and tucking range of all the relevant trials techniques, high rise offers less range but more comfortable riding. if you really want to develop more powerful bike launching techniques, low is the way to go because you make your trials muscles work harder and more dynamically.
