So no disc is compatible.
TrAsHeR
If you have a 20 160 disk be enought if you have a 26 you might want a
Adam-Griffin
Slightly off topic but what is THE largest rotor, could be XC or whatever, just intrested.
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Slightly off topic but what is THE largest rotor, could be XC or whatever, just intrested.theres a DH disk out there, which is 10" i think, maybe 9, not sure...MY 888's have a minimum of a 9" disk compatible lol
carboy280
Mono hub, isnt a disc hub. So no disc is compatible.DOH! just saw that... (i dont actually have the bike yet... its in the post)
basher
DOH! just saw that... (i dont actually have the bike yet... its in the post)bummer, well looks like you going to have to get a disk hub then. If you do, then 180 will be fine or if you want a reallty vicous fornt brake that comes on striaght away with little modulation then get a 203. Matthew_Gibson
185 will be fine dude. I ran 185 for over 2-3 years with no problems in power, 203 is a beast though. You can get 2nd hand hope pretty cheap though. Brand new would be better though. Bearing as faultless. Had standerd one in for over 3 years with no problema and still going fine. Going to change them all In the newyear. Go hope and you wont go wrong!
pengsmelly
the bigger the rotor, the more the power i would have thought. correct me if i am wrong. matt

esfrost
I think you should go for the 185mm with cleansweep.....
steve@banbury-trials
i believe 10inch is the largest too.i find theres no points going for secound best stuff, get the biggest rotor avaliable for the brake ,then you wont be thinking (if you dont have the desired power) why didnt i get a bigger brake.steve . jsy trials matt
ive got an avid 185mm and love it, the difference is the larger you want your disk to be the more pressure u will apply to the adapter as all the sizes have the sam caliper sizejsy matt

Greetings
snap yer forks/spokes easyer. That's a load of impractical advice. The chances of him snapping his fork and spokes are not much greater if he gets an 8" rotor, than if he goes for a 7". They're actually so small I'm surprised you're taking such a possibility into account. Just get a 203mm rotor. Better too powerful than too weak. steve@banbury-trials
i surpose it wouldn't be to hard t make your own rotors, just you'd have to make a adapter if you make a monster rotor.has anyone ever made the own rotor?steve
