El Cristoff
Right, All my theads have gone in my magura mounts. one side has been drilled and tapped to M6, on side still remains M5.Shall i drill out the M5 to M6 and buy a M6 helicoil kit, i mean, would that work? Also the M6 side has no thread in it, so will the M6 tap work on these?Sorry if this is a repost, couldnt find any information on what i needed. NileBrown™
while ago i read a decent idea...cold weld/araldite some studding into the mount and then hold the clamps on with a nut Ahhh this is genius... mainly because its what I had take a look:you had to run booster spacers otherwise the nuts would you wouldn't be able to tighten the nuts up otherwise the sides of the mounts would stop you turning it. but otherwise a clever idea in my opinion. NileBrown™
Well instead of the bolts screwing into the frame, the bolts are glues into the frame so you put your mounts on, then screw a nut on the top. I'll edit the photo to make it more clearer.EDIT: Picture is now edited. Edited December 4, 2007 by NileBrown
