Ash-Trials
How do i fit it?I did some searches, tried boiling hose to soften it, running it over a candle, widening end with a hot skewer.Every time i couldn't get it in. and with the skewer one it went in ok with a hammer but it just leaks. Please can someone help as i am VERY pissed off Edited December 1, 2007 by Ashkwil
steve@banbury-trials
i found cutting a very thin sliver of plastic from the inside of the tube helps,it sort of directs the fitting in the right direction.i had problem fitting barbs before too, just takes patience .good luck, steve
Bionic Balls
you need to clamp the end of the hose in the plastic clamps that come with the bleed kit....or drill a 5mm hole in a block of wood and saw it in half...then i find lubing the hose with whatever you're bleeding with (EG: water)...then tapping it in with a hammer.adam
basher
Put the hoseing in a vice with some sticking out, dont do the vice up to much. Then hammer the fitting in moving more hoseing out of the vice if need be. I used one of the bench mate things as its wood. Or you can get some magura fitting blocks or get a piece of wood chop it in half put the pieces back together and drill a 5mm hole i think it is then put the hoseing in and clamp it up and then hammer the fitting in.
