walker
Wow! that is awesome, i dont often post comments on people's bikes, but that looks awesome! When i saw you ride it at that shipley national i just thought, "i want that!" and its not just cos ur a good rider! there's something about the bar stem set up that it very appealing as well!Verry nice indeed,If im not mistaken, im pretty shore those are the limited editon gold backings with coust material that heatsink did?No i dont think they are mate, i saw them at a comp, they're something special, but im not sure what, i think ive seen other Koxx riders using them.Andrewdoesn anyone know how that downtube is fromed like that? And what will it do to the strength/stiffness of the tube??Andrew
Will Arnold
i really like this you know! do you know how much it weighs in at? i like the fact you can completely ditch the rear mechand hanger, for lightness!
walker
To be fair, thats the way it should be. Moto trials bikes are like that. Its not just a way of making it lighter, its the simplest way of doing it, if u've only got one gear, then why have a rear mech, or a device that attaches to a mech hanger?? Its take a while to catch on and i think this is mainly because of the 5 gear competition rule that kicked up so much fuss. But now that its gone, and stock bikes are looking more and more like mods, just with bigger wheels, ie, large bb and handle bar rise, the gates have opened for stock frames with horizontal dropouts.I still think that it is a a pain to align a wheel every time slacken te back wheel bolts, especially for magura brakes, but also for the increasingly popular rear disk. So is the best option a dropout without a mech hanger with a small chain tensioner in between the chainstay and the hub?? I dont mean to be biased, but Leeson-esque seems the most sensible option, plus, wheelbase is never affected.Andrew Edited November 28, 2007 by walk_aw

Nick Garland
Almost tempting to buy over the Ozony, so many nice options of frames now that are not TOO expensive and not made by deng.I can only guess its relatively strong due to the way its made with the funny hydro forming. walker
Would get it over the Ozonys any day, but apparently they're not available yet, which explains why ive only seen Koxx world riders riding them so far!Andrew
Nick Garland
Can get them from trialsman, shop owned by Fred Savage I believe, who happens to also have something to do with NSE and arranges all the koxx imports etc as when I cracked my Koxx bars he was the man to deal with.
