Alex Dark
sounds stupid....but whats considered a long stoppie (braked rolling endo) by todays standards ? I managed to do 10m yesterday ...and my friend managed 16m in a manual...... Good? bad?
poopipe
it's not the length that matters, it's how long it lasts

Rob Thomson
Manuals generally last forever or however my legs/hill lasts...Couple hundred metres tops maybe?Stoppies for me are shit and however long the embankment is
eskimo
I can manual for a good distance but as soon as i touch my brake the front drops. On the bmx is a different story As for stoppies, i just go with nose manuals. Can't really get anywhere but have done a few manual pads before. poopipe
I can't manual for shit - regularly i can manage about 30 foot at full tilt which is somewhere in the region of 1-1 1/2 seconds. its embarrasing but it means I always have something to practice

psycholist
Since I fitted proper trials brake pads to my bike I can't hold a manual at all. As soon as I pull the brake to drop the front the brake squeals really loudly and it pulls the front down too quickly. Still can't control a manual with pure weight shifting - only been practicing about 10 years ... Before changing brake blocks I was able to manual for 3 or 4 seconds pretty consistently - on the plus side I can now land drops and back wheel onto things without the brake sliding out on me, so it's probably worth it overall . Jason222
mmm I think I did a 600 foot manual...my god you're exhausted to death when you finish. Brake pads mean a lot! I used to manual like a bugger with my echo pads + some tar. Then I grinded my rim, and got rock pads + some tar. Brake is crazy touchy. At first it was hard to get used to, but now I think I could still manual as far...just takes some practice to get used to the touchy brake.
