MadManMike
The last few months haven't been too good for me, various family problems, lack of work and I've been a little down, then of course there's the whole bike fiasco. Tonight I hope I have sorted things out - my ability to mix has once again returned.I've just found a job to apply for which is £20k a year and well within my capabilities. So, this mix is called Turning Point as I hope that tonight is the turning point in my life and things will start to improve. Please give me your feedback - positive or negative on the following mix. It's all new tracks that are pretty damn filthy, so if you like your house dirtier than Prince Charlie's soiled pants, this is for you.Tracks:1. Rooster & Sammy Peralta - Throw Your Hands Up2. DJ Dan - Needle Damage [Chriss Ortega & Thomas Gold Dub]3. Noir - All About House Music [Noirs 2007 remix]4. Donald Glaude - BIG 95. Rooster & Sammy Peralta - In The Beginning6. Micha Moor - Slip And Slide7. Unique - Rocks The Bass8. Julio Navas, D-Nox & Beckers - Memory Cell* * Adam Freeland - We Want Your Soul [Accapella] * *9. Rooster & Sammy Peralta - Kaotik10. Richard Grey - Warped Bass [Dave Spoon Remix]11. Bassnectar - Kick It ComplexMegaupload Linkhttp://www.megaupload.com/?d=UD2HZL8GRapidshare Linkhttp://rapidshare.com/files/72199728/The_S..._Point.mp3.htmlSo there you go, hope you enjoy and I hope things start changing.Happy Christmas everyone Edited November 26, 2007 by MadManMike

Fixed Pants™
Mike, SERIOUSLY, please NEVER, EVER, EVER, use MU EVER, again in your life. It's SHITTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and i'm getting 3kbps, just use www.shareit247.com at least.(sorry, bad mood)edit: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Got myself a premium account and it still gives me 60f**kingkbps. MU is one of the worst hosts ever! Edited November 25, 2007 by Fat Pants
MadManMike
I use it because it's fast for me to upload, also when I download I get 60-70kbps which isn't that bad. From any server the best I get is about 100.
Fixed Pants™
You obviously have slow internet then, and regardless, MU's servers aren't as efficient as the likes of rapidshare or shareit247.Also, i get 470 from RS.com, 50 from MU, evidently not good, even with a premium account and Internet Download Manager. Dan Clark
Downloading now While you're here Mike, have you heard any stuff by DNTEL? A.k.a, Jimmy Tambarello/James Figurine/Guy from the Postal Service. Like really slow tempo, glitchy, depressing electronic stuff. If so, can you recommend anyone else similar to him? I can't seem to get enough of it.I only ask cos you are the electronic guy of TF
Max Quinn
One of my favourites so far! Apart from maybe the hip hop one but thats just because im a hip hop head. I have no idea why i liked it so much it just clicked. I'm not even usually that into this dirty house stuff either.Glad to see you've got it back and everythings starting to fall into place Good luck with the job. I can't seem to get enough of it.I only ask cos you are the electronic guy of TF I haven't, but if it's depressing, try Always Something Better by Trentemoller - awesome track but kinda depressing. There's a chillout version and a house version, both are great.Marianne Faithfull - Broken English is also good, but is not glitchy house, more chillout.Quite a lot of Thomas Schumacher's house is minimal, but not depressing - it's definately glitchy though. Look at Mad Robot, Dead Arm, High On You, ReGenerate & Rotor by him.If you like your minimal also look at Kiki's remix of Walking Away by The Egg (It's the one off the Citroen advert, but you'd not recognise it from Kiki's version!)One of my favourites so far! Look on djdeals.co.uk and you'll find the new CDJ400's, at £450 each they are a bargain. Loads of features and obviously will have Pioneers reliability.I currently use Denon DN-S1000 Players and a Denon DN-X100 Mixer, at the time it came as a package with Flightcase for £950 - it's not just over £700 so they are a right bargain at the moment. Mixer has two outputs so you can whack it into an amp and the PC to record. Nice compact piece of kit - I've played all over the place with it!
