Phil H
I have a slight problem which I don't exactly understand. I replaced my middleburn 22T chain ring because it snapped. At the same time I fitted a 74 kingz tensioner. So I still have 22:18 ratio but just with a Kingz tensioner.BUT my gear feels substancially harder (higher) and I don't understand why. I havent over tensioned the chain so its hard to push the cranks round and I can't really think of an explanation. The only possible reaosns I can think of is that the chain rubbing against plastic makes alot of friction which makes it harder but im very doubtful of this as that would mean its just a crap design. Or its something to do with where it is positioned, like somehow preventing the wheel from spinning as easily Can anybody solve this mystery? basher
How was your last tensioner, did you have good chain tension? , may be if you didnt that the change to good tension has made it feel like this. Thats only thing i can think of. My 74kings hasnt changed the feeling of my gear. Also cut up a hacksaw blade drill 2 hole in the pieces and fit to extra tension blades and the tension is amazing. N Roach
If you have changed your chain to say... a KHE then that could make a difference. Also check your bb cause if it has stiffened up that could make more of a difference. Edited November 24, 2007 by Koxx_Nath.C

Also check your bb cause if it has stiffened up that could make more or difference.I am running a KHE but I was running it before so shouldn't make a difference. Aha could be the BB, its fairly screwed up and it took a beating today with a hammer.Actually now I come to thik of it, cranks spin normally backwards so can't be the BBPhil
