BONGO
Right i need to insure £4050 water airater for a fishing lake, that is going to be sat permanently in the middle of a lake floating, diguised as a little island kind of thing. It's obviously got to be insured due to it's price, but i don't know how t go about beginning to search for insurance! What the hell do i look for!Anyone insured weird stuff before?!?!Bongo
James Quigley
a private insurance brokers may be your best bet.
TomR
M&S apparently do pretty good insurance for personal posessions but i dont know if that would count.
Muel
This is possibly the wierdest thing I have ever read on Trials-Forum.I read it again, it's less wierd.
Caleb
do you own your own lake or is it to attract the carpidge to your area?or am i totally wrong?
BONGO
do you own your own lake or is it to attract the carpidge to your area?or am i totally wrong?I think you'd have trouble 'attracting' carp to an enclosed lake!!! It is a friends lake that already has thousands of fish in it, so nah you're not toally wrong lol.
Caleb
hehe i wasn't implying the carp had eel like characterisitics, i just remembered that fish tend to stay close to oxygen sources etc, so may be more inclined to chill out in the area richer in oxygen, than around a Sainsburys trolley etc.anyway good luck with the insurance, wouldn't go near cash converters for it
BONGO
well yeah, defo it'll certainly shake up where the fish 'hang out' in the lake i think. Should be good
Tony Harrison
Disguise it as a giant crab. Nobody will go near it then.

Joe Sheehan!
Whats an airater? And if its in the middle of a lake, who the hell is gonna be able to steal it without being noticed? lol.I would ring a few of the larger buisnesses and see what they say. A boat and 30 minutes at night when nobody is around will ensure a successful theft!

BONGO
it will be anchored down, but you can't actually lock it down.
N.Wood
Any way to alarm it or something? As for actually helping you, i guess ringing round companies is your best bet.
future orange 660
is this to make you feel really good at fishing..because your pond has more fish in? or to breed fish to sell?
Wet Banana
You could always just insure it as a 4 grand boat?

BONGO
is this to make you feel really good at fishing..because your pond has more fish in? or to breed fish to sell?It helps prevent algae bloom, it encourages insects to live and breed there, and in turn provides food for the fish as the insects fall into the water and lay eggs etc etc. It introduces oxygen into the water for the health of the fish. The roots that will grow down will provide comfort spots for fish, breeding opportunities and safety. It's a fishery, a fishery is a business, and the fish are the reason people spend their money to fish their, so you must look after them...You clearly don't fish, otherwise you'd know that just becasue a lake has a lot of fish in, without knowledge and skill, you'll still catch f**k all.
