Tom_
So i havnt riden for a week or so as iv been waiting on my new frame, my bike has been kept in a shed outside so it will have got very cold, so i would asume my maggy has at some point frozen. Now i just fitted it to my new bike, pulled the lever and the pads moved into the rim as normal. then they stayed there, the cylinders stayed extended and the lever just flaps about. Iv ajusted tpa, and everything but nothing sorts it. I dont have enough money for a new one......any ideas?
NileBrown™
Is it a water bleed? Is where you live cold?
Ash-Kennard
whack some lube on the pistons
Dave Anscombe
what i would do is bleed the brake with mineral oil........opperate the lever so the pistons lube up ......then if u like ur water bleeds re bleed it with water......if your cycles is out side in the shed add antifreeze to your bleeding water.that will indeed sort your problems out
Broomer
my bikes spent that last 2 winters in a shed with a water bleed, still as good as it was on day one. i dont think the weathers your problem.
Ryan Blackwell
I think the same thing has happend to mine as my cylinders are so lazy now they dont really return and when i pedal hop they just rub.
