I always have my iPod with me so i thought it would be cool to be able to sync them to it and get home and stick them on to my computer. plus. it dont waste the camera's battery while looking at the images! Yeah. I know what your saying. I barely fill mine either. only when i forget to sync the photos to my PC.Very much doubt it mate, probably gotta put the pics on PC first. The image is linked Edited November 19, 2007 by cjskate
MadManMike
I take it back!Does that fit any Canon then?
Charlie Jennings
I take it back!Does that fit any Canon then?Lol. yeah i assume so. Its just a USB in the bottom. ive heard that you can also plus a card reader in the bottom too.The thing is. you have to press import photos. I wondering if i can do it without doing thatso it syncs without having to press anything.I think i'll just get a 1GB card and import them when i need to. JonMack
Why not just get a 4/8/16GB card and import to your computer at the end of the day. You're not using that much battery looking through your pictures on the screen, christ who do you think you are? David LaChapelle?
Dan6061
Just go on that 7dayshop (or whatever it is..someone'll link you) and get a 4GB CF Card for like..£15?
chrishayton
if it works with that above it should work with a 400d. it has a direct print button (pictbridge or something) which i assume is the way the pictures are sent to the ipod
Tomm
Lol. yeah i assume so. Its just a USB in the bottom. ive heard that you can also plus a card reader in the bottom too.Wow, so you mean you could link the camera up to this device and it could save pictures onto a memory card?! AMAZING.

Fish-Finger-er
seems rather useless, and no youd have to have a memory card in your camera for it to work, apparently the time is mega slow too.im probably goin to get one, as theres a possibility im going to africa next year, and a high chance of me going to australia for a couple of weeks the year after. at which point my 4gb card just wont cut it. and itll be good to have a back up too.(and i wont be taking me laptop with me to either places)but for just out and about shooting, seems a bit pointless. and camera battery to look at pictures, might as well carry an extra battery, and have you got any idea how long a charged battery lasts. sure mines done circa 3000 shots now, probably about 30% using camera flash. and its only been charged like 6 or so times in total. JonMack
I'd prefer more solid state memory if I'm going to be travelling all over the world than a hard drive which could end up getting broken/stolen. Just buy some more memory cards.
CurtisRider
Do you know what an ipod is?! they are about 2 grams and smaller than an insects arse!the way he seemed to be saying it was as if he was going to be using the ipod as a memory card, so that would mean having the ipod dangling from a cable, i'd quite imagine that would get annoying trying to hold the camera and ipod+taping it on would just skank everything up. Dan Clark
Plus write speeds would be suuuuuuuuuper slow. Take 3 pictures and you'll have to wait for the ipod to catch up.Stupid idea really, especially seeing as flash memorys so cheap.

So you don't have to have the iPod dangling - you just copy the pics across when the card is full. It was quite a good idea when flash memory was really expensive, but I reckon with the price of CF cards now, you may as well just get a few more cards. There's no way you'd be able to use the ipod to look at the pictures anyway - they'll have to go on a hard disk partition.

Rob_P
I've got one of those camera connectors (lucky me) and yeah, there pretty good. When I went on holiday i'd get back in the evening and back photos up, no worries.Works a dream and is a damm site cheaper than a Giga one pro. Photos take about 2 second each to transfer, RAW images a lot longer I guess. But then due to my own fault, I dropped it, end of iPod So what you wanted to know, was if you could take pictures and it transfer straight to the iPod? WHY! An iPod is a damm site bigger than any memory card out there plus its just a HUGE pain in the arse.
JonMack
Someone could steal the camera! too. plus. if i was a theif. i would go for the camera.my iPod is like 2 years old.Yeah but you can't put more than one memory card in the camera at the same time. Buy a few 1GB cards and the most images you'll ever lose is a couple of hundred (depending on what quality setting you're shooting at, obviously).http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.ph...e=1&sort=3a£8 for a 1GB card, pretty good.
